Initial Consultation
The first step in commissioning a prototype in lost wax carving is to schedule an initial consultation with me, Tamara Gervasio. It can be done via phone calls, zoom and emails.
During this meeting, you will discuss your ideas, inspiration, and requirements for the piece.
It is important to communicate your vision clearly, as this will guide the design process.
Step 2
Design Concept
Following the initial consultation, it is essential to provide a photo, rough sketch or design concept for the proposed piece. This step helps to streamline the design process, saving both time and cost.
An alternative option is for Tamara to generate sketches or painting drawings based on your ideas, however , a fee may apply for this service.
Detailed dimensions such as height, width, length, thickness, depth, finger size, and desired metal weight are crucial for creating a precise prototype.
Additionally, if the design includes gemstones, information on size and cut is necessary for create the setting. Some gemstones can be set in place.

Wax carving and production
It is important to communicate your preferred timeline for the project. To secure a spot for commissioning lost wax carving prototype, advance booking is recommended, typically requiring 3-5 weeks.
Upon approval of the design concept, Tamara will provide a quotation for the project before proceeding with the wax carving. Half deposit is require.
Is important to note that significant alterations to the design, ezpecially after completion, may result in an additional charge per exytra working hour.
Throughout the wax carving process, progress updates will be shared with you through step-by-step images and videos. Professional images of the completed commissioned prototype in lost wax will be provided upon finishing.
Once the prototype is finalized, it will be returned to you, preparred for the subsequent stage of being forwarded to the casting service for production.
